PROGRAMME: Erasmus+ Adult education
PROJECT PERIOD: January 2022 – June 2024
TARGET GROUP: This project is addressed to adult women living in rural areas, as they have an added vulnerability because of the low intensity of job opportunities, services and social resources. This need has been accentuated by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that has aggravated the socio-economic structures of the rural areas even more than in urban environments.
ROLE OF ONECO: Drafting and technical assistance to implementation.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project promotes the empowerment of adult women in rural areas in the new post-Covid scenario, equipping them with new digital skills and green entrepreneurship, thus helping to correct the imbalances between men and women in business, achieving a balance between the use of financial resources and maintenance of income in the area.
Throughout the project, an innovative educational package will be designed and implemented, a mentoring program will be launched to accompany and encourage those women who are willing to start their own green businesses and finally a set of tools on green entrepreneurship will be developed to contribute strategies and resources to any woman who wants to take the first steps with her entrepreneurship.
